Phase II of Gladdening the Sacred Hearts

We Sufis are Servants of Heart.

We sweep clean our own heart
as a service to the True Heir of the Heart.

Since pre-eternity,
destined we are to serve
every other heart.

Omnia cum Deo
Hu Allahu Ahad

For the Service of the One,
endless we burn,
endless we yearn.

Gladdening the Sacred Hearts Project, as a fund raising event first started in October 2008. Back then we raised some funds to direct to help a number of disadvantaged children, vulnerable women and economically challenged young students in India and Bangladesh. Also last winter, thanks to your generous contribution we distributed about 500+ winter clothings and blankets among homeless and poor people in Bangladesh under the initiative: Spreading the Warmth, an extension of the Project. The initiative inspired others as well who came forward and took their own initiative in other countries.

As part of the second phase of Gladdening the Sacred Hearts, God Willing, we intend to create a fund to facilitate medical treatment for those who are in serious need but have no means to support. Very recently a friend and a visitor of the blog emailed me with a very touching report of a family in which the father and his three children are on the verge of complete blindness due to poverty, malnutrition and lack of treatment.

This case is from the northern region of Bangladesh and we are taking initiative to contact the family and will try our best to reach necessary financial support for their immediate treatment. This will be priority one. Secondly if we could raise enough fund, we will contact a partner NGO to contribute equal amount and use that for similar future endeavor.

Also another personal friend of mine Ali Mahmed who happened to live near a place which is a major train junction where many floating children happen to end up, who are either orphans or don't have any other place to go or who are simply lost. My friend shared his vision to create a children shelter home for them and this require a good sum of starting capital. We have estimated that a modest amount of 1200 USD will be good enough to establish one such shelter and keep it going for few months. If you happen to know anyone who would be interested to finance / donate to this project, either individually or as a group, I will appreciate very much if you could get in touch with me. This project I am very keen personally to start after seeing the practical need of it.

Few months back Ali Mahmed rescued a number of such vulnerable children and due to lack of support he couldn't do much. Here are couple cases that he shared from his experience and feelings: Tale of a Handicaped Child and The Game of Light and Darkness.

I look forward for your generous support in the Second Phase of the Gladdening the Sacred Hearts Project and lets contribute from our own capacity to gladden some hearts, no matter where they might be.

Some one asked Beloved Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah: 'What actions are most excellent?'

He replied, 'To gladden the heart of a human being, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the wrongs of the injured.'

Tell those of My servants who believe that they should establish union-prayer and spend out of what We have provided them with, both secretly and openly, before there arrives the Day when there will be no bargaining, nor any mutual befriending.
- The Divine Recital, 14:31

You shall not attain righteousness until you spend (benevolently) out of what you love. And whatsoever you spend, Allah is Aware thereof.
