Pilgrim's Tears | a Poem by Guest Blogger Nizami Rose

pilgrim's tears

in rumi's turbe
i wept many hours
comforting hands
gently touched me

in shems's turbe
stillness endless
alone i fainted
walking to the door

at hajji bektashi
through the light
burned into a stone

mary's chapel
scented soft light
sat in silence
tears of joy

all these tears
a bit embarrassing
all these tears
a beacon to home
